Florida inspired beer from the Tampa brewer is heading north to quench the thirsty masses in a six- county area including Duval and Nassau Counties.
Tampa, FL – Coppertail Brewing Company of Ybor City will increase its distribution area footprint by expanding delivery into six counties in northern Florida, bringing beer to consumers who have long awaited it.
Coppertail Brewing has forged an agreement with Florida beverage distributor Champion Brands to provide Coppertail’s ‘Core Four’ signature beers to consumers in restaurants, bars and tap rooms in six counties in including Duval, Clay, Nassau, St Johns, Putnam and Baker. The selection includes the Unholy, (Belgian Trippel), Night Swim, (Porter), Free Dive (IPA) and Wheat Stroke (American Wheat Ale). Seasonal beers will also be available.
Coppertail beer is currently available in Orlando, Sarasota, Ft. Myers, Miami, and of course, Tampa, where it is brewed at the edge of Ybor City. Expanding north made sense because of the good reputation of Champion Brands who provides craft beer to a large network of restaurants, tap rooms and stores in the region, and because of the feedback from local beer lovers who have experienced it in the past.
“There’s a really great sour beer festival in Jacksonville, and every year since we have been brewing we have participated,” said Coppertail’s Director of Sales, Will Isaacson. “There’s always a huge line at our table and we have always gotten many positive comments about our beer. Everyone asks when we are going to bring Coppertail beer to Jacksonville. With the expansion we are currently undergoing at our Tampa facility and with the growth we have seen as a company, we feel we are finally ready to meet the demand.”
Kent Bailey, Coppertail’s President, said, “We are really happy about the new agreement with Champion. We have wanted to expand into Jacksonville and St. Augustine for a while, but we didn’t have the right distribution partner. We have worked out all the details, and trucks will be on their way with our beer the first week of February.”
Events are planned the week of February 6th at restaurants and tap rooms to introduce Coppertail beer to consumers. Event locations in Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach include several Mellow Mushroom locations, European Street and Kickbacks. Similar launch events will be held at Amelia Tavern in Fernandina Beach, and Kickbacks and Prohibition Kitchen in St. Augustine. Check out the Coppertail Brewing Co. Facebook page for more details.
