The Obesity Medicine Association has designated César A. Lara, M.D. as a Fellow of the organization. Becoming a Fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) is one of the highest honors reserved for those who demonstrate dedication and commitment to the clinical treatment of obesity and obesity-related diseases.
Dr. Lara met a list of criteria to become a Fellow of OMA. As a member of OMA, he has received extensive education focused on treating obesity in a clinical setting. Lara also worked to advance the practice of obesity medicine by serving on OMA committees. In addition to becoming a Fellow of OMA, Dr. Lara is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
