What: Nearly 400 early childhood educators look forward to attending the 3rd Annual Early Learning Conference for a day filled with enrichment and continuing education.
The Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties hosts its signature event as an economical alternative to costly state conferences. This local conference provides early childhood professionals the opportunity to gain valuable information from high quality trainers from the field of early education without having to travel.
The Coalition’s Program Quality Manager, Kim Borrego states, “We are really excited to hold this conference for the early childhood community. We have received overwhelming positive response from child care providers.”
Many child care directors look forward to this conference as a cost effective way to get their whole staff trained on topics that interest individual employees.
Borrego continues, “We have reached our limit and had to close registration early due to maximum capacity. Space filled up fast as some centers registered as many as 20 people.”
Presenters are traveling from throughout Florida to provide 48 trainings on various topics in the subject areas of Infants and Toddlers, Preschool, School Age, Family Child Care Home, Inclusion, Parents and Families, and Administration. Select trainings will be offered in Spanish. Attendees will earn seven (7) in-service hours and were able to purchase Continuing Education Units.
In addition, internationally known early childhood speaker and author, Jeff A. Johnson will headline this year’s event providing opening and closing sessions entitled “Finding Your Smile Again” both focused on avoiding provider burnout. This industry veteran has years of experience in child care and has written seven books on the topic.
