Wandering Eye Art Gallery is a grass roots, organically grown artist co-op in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida. The gallery represents over 15 local artists at any given time, and changes frequently. The gallery has been flourishing for over three years and is currently the only operating gallery open to the public in Ybor city.
On the second Saturday of every month there is an artist's launch that includes a featured artist, and this month;s artist will be Susan DosCher, a painter, sculptor and concrete artist. The event is free and open to the public. This month there will be live music and art performances. The event will take place at the Wandering Eye Art Gallery directly after the Snow On 7th Christmas Parade. The parade is from 7pm to 9pm and the gallery event will begin at 9pm and continue till 12pm. The gallery is located in Centro Ybor on the ground floor next to the escalator. The featured artist exhibit will remain on display until January 4, 2017.
This exhibit is an awesome representation of local art. The gallery is a unique experience as you will have the opportunity to not only buy local art, but also meet the artists as all the exhibiting artisst are available to meet in person and often paint live at the gallery.
Several of the artists are from the Ybor Art Colony located above King Carona on 7th Ave. The gallery was started from this group of over 15 artists renting art space since the 1970's. Private tours are available upon request. Please visit the wanderingeyeartgallery.org for more information.
