A redesigned and more flexible web site platform will launch for Catholic New York at www.cny.org later this month, according to Bill Ostendorf, CEO of Creative Circle Media Solutions, which also created the tampabay.com/PRlink site for the St. Petersburg Times.
"Catholic New York is the fourth Catholic publication to launch on our platform, which as special tools designed specifically for the Catholic Press," said Ostendorf. The site has powerful editorial tools, including dozens of templates that allow editors to change the look of the site with the click of a button. "News web sites should not behave like bank sites, which look the same every time you visit. They need to change and reflect the news," said Ostendorf.
The Rhode Island Catholic, the Arlington (Va.) Catholic and the Spanish edition of the Long Island Catholic are already using the platform. The company is in negotiations with other Catholic publications to join the platform in the near future.
