The founder and president of Elting Mechanical Enterprises was honored with the Distinguished Engineer of the Year Award for 2015. Stephen Elting, President of Elting Mechanical Enterprises (EME) was recognized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for his outstanding contributions and professional services to ASME and the engineering profession.
Mr. Elting has been an active member of the board of directors for the Florida West Coast Section of ASME since 1999. He is currently a director and has held positions of chairman, vice chairman, programs chair as well as other positions.
In addition to his work with ASME, Mr. Elting is an assistant coach/mentor for high school FIRST robotics teams providing training in mechanical design using 3D CAD software.
