TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY
HENRY B. PLANT MUSEUM
Tampa, FL (July 29, 2015) - We invite Tampa Bay teachers to visit the Henry B. Plant Museum as we honor their dedication to teaching our youth. From 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, admission is FREE for teachers and their families with their school ID. Teachers can explore the Museum at their leisure, learn about exciting Field Trip opportunities in 2015-16, and enjoy our in-depth, self-guided audio tour, or join the 1 pm tour offered by the Curator of Education. Teachers may also view the award-winning, 14-minute historical video The Tampa Bay Hotel: Florida’s First Magic Kingdom and investigate our current exhibit Passionate Design: The American Arts & Crafts Movement.
Foreign language teachers may be interested in exploring our audio wand tour in Spanish, and our orientation video The Tampa Bay Hotel: Florida’s First Magic Kingdom with Spanish, French and German subtitles. These resources can easily be used as language-learning tools.
Contact Heather Trubee Brown, Curator of Education, at 258.7304 or firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.

The Henry B. Plant Museum interprets the turn-of-the-century Tampa Bay Hotel and the lifestyles of America’s Gilded Age. Critical to the success of this mission is the restoration and preservation of this National Historic Landmark, an opulent 1891 railroad resort, and the artifacts significant to its history, and the life and work of Henry Bradley Plant. The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm, Sunday, noon to 5 pm. Closed Mondays and select other dates. Admission is $10 per adult, $7 for seniors (65 yrs.), $7 for students and $5 for children 4 – 12 yrs. Museum members free.
